Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 25^th February at 11am in The Art Gallery of Western Australia’s Theatrette.

Members are invited to join us for coffee and cake at 10am in the Gallery café prior to the meeting. Afterwards enjoy the opportunity to view Perspectives 2012.

Remember, early bird registration of $45 is still available until the day of the AGM, after that it will revert to the normal $50 membership fee. Become a member or renew now!

NB: Only financial members are able to vote at an AGM.

All positions on the Executive Committee are open and we invite nominations for the positions of:

2011 ArtED AGM

The ArtED Annual General meeting will be held on Satuurday, 19 February at the Heathcote Gallery in Applecross commencing at 11.00am. The Guest Speaker will be Tania Ferrier.

Nominations for the 2011 Executive and Management Committee are open – please send your name, contact number and position you wish to nominate for to our Secretary Rosie O’Keefe at rosie.okeefe2@hotmail.com (NB: Nominees must be financial for the 2011 membership period at the commencement of the AGM, 11am Saturday 19^th February).

There will be a General Meeting at Wesley College on Monday 8 November, 2010 commencing with registration at 4.00pm.

It is imperative as Western Australian art educators that we put forward a strong and informed response to the Draft Shape of the Australian Curriculum – The Arts, so we look forward to as many members as possible being able to attend and give feedaback on the Paper, ensuring consultation with and good representation of the Memberships’ views.

The Art Education Association of Western Australia’s Executive Committee will then put forward a response to the Paper on the membership’s behalf.

The main agenda item was devising an MoU for Corporate and not for profit groups interested in developing a mutually beneficial partnership with ArtED.
