Continue reading...Produce a series of architecturally inspired drawings using the overlay and recovery process. This workshop uses direct observational drawings of buildings for the overlay and development of spatial compositional devices. The process includes developing the idea of time and space, multiple images, ideas while promoting cultural and historical diversity, objectivity and subjectivity. The media that will be explored include: artline pens, charcoal, graphite powder, acrylic medium, acrylic paint, modelling compound, bronzing medium and collage. It is happening at Aquinas College from 10-1pm on Wednesday 8th October 2008.

This school holiday workshop will give you practical strategies for incorporating textiles into your art program for a variety of student levels. In the morning Eileen Walter will share a successful textile program with participants and in the afternoon Jane Packham will guide you in developing projects for more advanced students. The workshop is being run as a full day workshop at Mount Lawley Senior High School starting at 10am. You will need to bring your own sewing machine and extension cord to fully benefit from this hands-on workshop. The cost is $125.00 and will be run on Thursday, 9 October 2008.
