Jennifer Gaye Textiles Workshop

Driven by a love affair of textiles, visual arts and design, with a wealth of knowledge, experience, awards and acknowledgements in visual art, textile & mixed media art, and fashion, Jennifer Gaye’s career span’s over 20 years.

After studying fashion/textiles and design, at Perth’s Polytechnic West,  travelling abroad, cementing her qualifications, Jennifer began her career as a designer and pattern maker.  However, her design innovation and desire to create her own garment creations, saw her own young label win the coveted title of  ‘Designer of the Year’, in 2000.

This industry leadership accolade assisted Jennifer in establishing local and off-shore buyers for her unique designs and original creations, of which she created and collaborated for many years.  Jennifer’s evolving art and design maturity saw her move from body to canvas, experimenting with textiles and mixed media with similar successful results.  Her innovative art encouraged commissions, exhibitions, and some artist-in-residencies, to name a few.
