Special General Meeting 18 Oct 2014

The Art Education Association of Western Australia is convening a special general meeting at which the updated Constitution will be voted on by the proposal of a Special Resolution. If you are absent or a country member you can email your vote to the Secretary ‘in favour’ or ‘against’ the Special Resolution proposing the adoption of the advertised ArtED Constitution 2014.

NB: As there will be a Special Resolution at this Special General Meeting, it will require a quorum of 1/5 of current members, either in person or by proxy vote with a 75% agreement of those eligible to vote. That means about 30 members!!! so do come along to vote and then given all goes well to celebrate.

The Special General Meeting will be held at
the Irish Club, 61 Townshend Rd, Subiaco

commencing at 3pm
Saturday, 18 October, 2014

The club is a 9 minute walk from the Subiaco Railway Station for those wishing to use public transport.

Process of Review of the Constitution:-
The current and proposed Constitutions are located on the ArtEd Website. The President invited feedback on the proposed changes in an email to all members dated 20th August 2014.

Members were invited to raise any objections, within a month.

A General Meeting was held to provide the opportunity to openly discuss any possible changes on the 6th September, 2014 at the Clay House.

The Constitution Sub Committee held a meeting on 18 September, 2014.

The Management Committee also conferred by email re other points that were raised

If you have not received any yahoo communications about the changes to the Constitution, it will mean that your email address is bouncing.
